Yesterday, I posted this:

Today's a new day - so here's an alternative version of my 'Sith Predator'... this time wearing his helmet!
I'd intended to use the helmet in the earlier image - but ended up drawing the Predator's face and was pleased with it - so left it. As you can see - basically I've just added the helmet on top of my other drawing - but I also ended up re-working the colour scheme because I wanted this to clearly stand out from the other version.
I haven't tried to do anything revolutionary with the helmet design - but instead I went for a subtle cross of the Predator helmet with elements of Darth Vader's - and I'm pretty pleased with the result!
As with the other version - this takes inspiration from George Lucas's universe and Stan Winston's creature design. The character (and the helmet) was first drawn in pencil, then scanned and coloured in Photoshop using a Wacom pad. This is a reduced resolution version of the original - which is 600dpi.
Hope you like!
I think I only have nightmares when stupid people are involved ... like Transformers or Alien vs Predator 2.
I liked Predators since I went in it cold; no previews, no idea what was happening. When I originally picked it up, I didn't have my reading glasses on, so I missed the outline of the predator on the box. The cast and idea looked cool, so I gave it a twirl ... and I liked it.
And I'm with you on Predators. It's not a patch on the original - but it did enough to pay homage to it to be good enough
I like that it sort of turned things on the head.
