Here's my idea for a scene that never made it into The Empire Strikes Back: Darth Vader... on a speeder bike!

In the movie we see him stride in to the rebel's abandoned base on Hoth. But the way I imagine it - this is how he got there.

This is an original depication of George Lucas's characters. I drew this first in pencil, then scanned it and coloured it in Photoshop using a Wacom pad.

Apart from the obvious mind-shattering awesome that is Darth Vader riding a speeder-bike, Lightsaber akimbo... I must also point out how glad I am to see the not very well known "Snow Scout Troopers". In fact, apart from one single official publication, I had never seen a graphical depiction of them anywhere else.

Star Wars Nerd cred +2000.

haha - you certainly do pay close attention! I don't think anyone else has spotted that I made them 'Snow Scouts' (or at least if they did then no-one has bothered to comment about it) - even though this has been viewed by over 30,000 people! I think you should feel very proud of your powers of observation and attention to detail! :thumbsup:

Thanks very much! :) It's just a regular speeder bike - like was shown in Return of the Jedi - I just imagined that they had them on Hoth as well.

Why am I hearing a Dukes-of-Hazard's banjo playing while some corn chucking redneck says: "looks like those Imperial boys are looking for some trouble... and that's what the rebels are serving..." while looking at this?

Must be the freeze-frame.
