The character of Boba Fett was first conceived as a kind of 'super' Stormtrooper - and initiallly had a white outfit. Even though the white armour never made it to the movie I thought that would be a cool look to draw.

What I've done here is mix elements of Jango Fett's Mandalorian outfit with a Clone Trooper armour in an attempt to come up with a plausible reason for the armour to be white.

For the purpose of this picture... Jango is testing out the standard clone armour - but insisted on wearing his own superior body suit and helmet to protect his vital organs. He knew that the clone armour was being mass-produced cheaply and he didn't want to get killed on account of a test! It's a stretch I know! :lol:

If you've got a better excuse for why he might be wearing a white outfit - let's hear it!

This is an entirely original depiction of George Lucas's characters. First drawn with pencil then scanned and coloured in Photoshop with a Wacom tablet.

Nice work ! I saw your picture of Jango Fett wearing a black-coloured armor, but this white one pleases me too !

Sounds like a very plausible explanation for why he might wear this suit. But I can't help but think that he's too selfish to care about any of the clones (except Boba) - instead he just wants to try out the armour to see if it would be something he could use or adapt himself?

:lol: I think Lucasfilm did a pretty good job on the design of the Clone Troopers - after all they hard a hard act to follow with the original Stormtrooper and Boba Fett designs - but glad you like this alternative!
